Muslim Canteen Chef sues over handling Bacon and Sausages

A Muslim guy took a job as a chef in a police canteen; and has taken his employers to an employment tribunal because he doesn't want to handle bacon and pork sausages. If this is granted, we logically have to have vegetarians getting job in a butchers who are excused from handling meat, vegans getting jobs milkmen (sorry, milkpersons?) excused of handling milk and eggs, Jehovah's Witness surgeons excused from giving blood transfusions... what nonsense!

So the racial discrimination outcome is clear: employers are not allowed to enquire about the religion of employees. Next time they employ a chef, they're likely not to employ anyone who even looks like they may be Muslim... or Jewish. And honestly... who could blame them?
